Magic Hills Bali is one of the most unique bamboo houses on the Island of Gods!
Staying in this magical bamboo house surrounded by lush rice terraces in Selat, East Bali is an unmissable experience.
Wake up to the sounds of the birds chirping in the morning and enjoy the breathtaking panoramic view over the dazzling rice terraces from your bedroom.
Magic Hills Bali is the perfect staycation for travelers and honeymooners wanting to escape the crowded tourist spots and experience a slice of the real Bali.
I personally spent a couple of days at Magic Hills Bamboo House and have put together this complete guide including where to book, what to expect, and an honest review of one of the most unique accommodations on the island.
Magic Hills Bali is located 1 hour and 20 minutes drive east of Ubud, and approximately 2 hours drive from Canggu, Seminyak, and Kuta. See the location on Google maps.
Comprising a 2-bedroom luxury villa made from bamboo, I guarantee you’ll be amazed when you see this place with your own eyes!
There is also a restaurant that provides in-room dining for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and drinks. Simply order from your villa via Whatsapp and have it delivered to your door.
Choose from a delicious selection of Western or Balinese cuisine. Vegetarian and Vegan options are available.
At the time of writing (July 2021), only one of the bamboo houses is complete and there are other houses that are due to open by the end of 2021.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Magic Hills Bamboo House is situated on the edge of a lush green valley with mesmerizing views over the rice terraces and the peak of Mount Agung can be spotted in the distance.
The ground floor of the bamboo house features a large open space with a king-size bed, an en-suite bathroom with tropical vibes, and an outdoor shower where you can gaze at the starry sky at night.
There are plenty of cozy corners to hang out in including a boho-style hammock, a hanging rattan chair, and a comfy lounge with cushions to put your feet up and read a book.
Beneath the stairs is a small kitchenette with complimentary fruits, tea, coffee, and sugar. You can also make use of the mini-bar fridge to keep the Bintangs cold!
Stepping down onto the patch of grass in front of the house, you’ll find a hot tub jacuzzi made from stone and comfy bean bags beneath a swaying coconut palm tree. It doesn’t get much better than this!
Have you got travel insurance for Bali? We all know accidents can happen and having World Nomads Insurance will save you thousands of dollars if something goes wrong.
