IS LITTLE ADAM’S PEAK WORTH VISITING?
Yes, Little Adams Peak is definitely worth visiting for the stunning views from above, the sunsets you’ll see, and the countless photo opportunities.
Note that, while the peak is known for the sunset, you can also go and enjoy the Little Adams Peak sunrise!
HOW LONG TO CLIMB LITTLE ADAM’S PEAK?
It only takes around 45 minutes to 1 hour to complete the Little Adams Peak hike, and it’s one of the easiest hikes in Ella.
Allocate yourself a bit more time to take photos on the way up as the surroundings are absolutely stunning!
LITTLE ADAMS PEAK VS ADAMS PEAK
While they share a similar name, Adam’s Peak and Little Adam’s Peak are different hiking spots in Sri Lanka.
Adam’s Peak, also known as Sri Pada, is located in the central highlands of Sri Lanka and stands at a height of 2,243 meters above sea level.
The hike up Adam’s Peak is moderately difficult due to its height and the length of the trail.
What makes it special is a footprint at the summit that’s considered sacred in several religions – Buddhists believe it belongs to Buddha, Hindus attribute it to Shiva, and Christians and Muslims associate it with Adam.
You’d normally start the hike at night so that you can reach the top by dawn and watch the sunrise.
On the other hand, Little Adam’s Peak is located in Ella, Sri Lanka, and has a height of 1,141 meters above sea level. The hike is relatively easier and suitable for all fitness levels.
Little Adam’s Peak may not have the religious significance of its larger counterpart, but it offers panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and tea plantations, making it visually stunning.
