LUXURY: Daluyong Beach Resort

Couples, in particular, have been favored to book this accommodation, however, if you and your friends are looking for somewhere a little more luxurious whilst also wanting an active holiday, this could be for you.

Another Siargao resort that’s great for both couples and families. Striking the balance between romance and fun. If you’re a couple, enjoy time spent down by the beach or getting a couples massage. If you’re a family then the kids can spend hours jumping in and out of the huge pool on site.

Another Siargao resort right on the beach with General Luna Beach just steps away. Cloud 9 surfing beach is less than 1 mile away and shops and restaurants are less than 0.2 miles away.
All rooms come with a private bathroom, wifi, and air-con, all located on the ground floor, and some of the most modern interiors I’ve seen in the Philippines.

MID RANGE: Latitude 10 Siargao
Latitude 10 Siargao is less than 1 mile from General Luna Beach and a 20-minute walk from Malinao Beach.
This Siargao hotel offers simple accommodations, friendly staff, and private rooms with the option of room service.
Located right next General Luna Beach and close to other beaches such as Malinao, Latitude 10 Siargao is in a great spot. Guyam and Daku Islands are both less than 3 miles away.
Simple yet clean rooms, with air-con, toiletries, private bathrooms and even a balcony in some of them. Latitude 10 Siargao is great if your main focus is adventure and not fancy accommodation.
This is targeted toward travelers, backpackers, and those couples who are traveling together.

The guesthouses here only come with a double bed, so unless you’re close to your friends and don’t mind sharing, this one is for couples.

This one goes out to the backpackers, travelers, and budget ballers among us. Here are a few of the best places to stay in General Luna on a budget.
BUDGET: Secret Spot Siargao
I personally stayed at Secret Spot Siargao and can’t recommend this place enough!
This Siargao hostel offers mixed bunkbed rooms, of 20 beds, with a shared kitchen and facilities available, guests can also enjoy a la carte or American breakfasts which are included in the price.
If you want to chill out and read a book, there are some hammocks slung up between the palm trees in the front gardens!
The hostel is located in the heart of General Luna with Naked Island just 5 miles away, Guyam Island is 1.4 miles whilst Daku Island is 1.4 miles away.
If you’re wanting to visit Cloud 9 Surfing Beach, this is 3.6 miles away from this Siargao hostel.
The rooms are very clean, simple hostel rooms. With bunk beds for mixed genders. All rooms are equipped with a terrace, patio garden view, electric teapot, shared bathroom, and mosquito net.
Ideally solo backpackers, however, if you’re a traveling couple, be prepared to spend the night apart as the beds in this hostel are single beds.
BUDGET: Hiraya Surf Hostel

HOW TO GET TO SIARGAO ISLAND
The easiest and best way to get to Siargao Island is by plane.
Domestic flights to Siargao from Manila or Cebu are available on a daily basis and they arrive at Siargao’s only airport in Del Carmen.
From the airport in Del Carmen to the main tourist hub on the island, General Luna, it’s approximately a 1-hour drive and the cost of the shuttle is around 500 pesos.
BEST TIME TO VISIT SIARGAO
Siargao Island is a year-round destination although the peak tourist season is in the dry season which is between the months of March and October.
The off-peak season is during the wet season which is generally between November and February. This is when there are likely to be fewer tourists.
For surfers visiting Siargao Island, the best months for surfing is during the swell season which is August through to November.

HOW TO GET AROUND THE ISLAND
The best way to get around the island is on a scooter. The cost for a scooter rental is around 300-400 pesos per day, or for a monthly rental, you’ll get a cheaper rate of 200-300 pesos per day.
