Sai Nuan Beach is low-key one of the most unspoiled beaches in Koh Tao.
Located on the southwest coastline of Koh Tao Island, this location is the perfect hideaway from the more popular Koh Tao beaches.
I have put together this ultimate guide to Sai Nuan Beach including where it’s located, how to get there, and what to expect when you arrive.
QUICK ANSWERS – SAI NUAN BEACH KOH TAO
Let’s start this guide with all the essentials you should know about Sai Nuan Beach, from its location to getting there and more.
WHERE IS SAI NUAN BEACH KOH TAO?
Sai Nuan Beach is a 15-minute drive from Sairee Beach, the main tourist hub of Koh Tao.
Click here to see the location on Google maps.
HOW TO GET SAI NUAN BEACH?
The best way to get around Koh Tao is to rent a scooter for about 250 Baht per day to explore all four corners of the island. There are dozens of scooter rental stores in and around town and most accommodations offer scooter rentals too.
This stunning beach has decent road access and when I visited there were no parking or entrance fees. It’s a short 2-minute walk to the beach from the jump-off point.
BEST TOUR IN KOH TAO
The best tour you can join is the Snorkeling Day Trip Ko Tao & Ko Nang Yuan with Meals!
It includes hotel transfers, lunch and dinner, soft drinks, all entrance fees, and a fun guide!
HOW MUCH IS SAI NUAN BEACH ENTRANCE FEE?
As I’ll explain in the next section, there are 2 beaches here – one public and one private.
There is no entrance fee to the first one (the public beach) but the entrance fee for the second Sai Nuan Beach (the private one) is 100 Baht, or around $3.
THE 2 BEACHES AT SAI NUAN
There are actually two beaches to be explored at this location.
If you happen to park in the first car park on the left-had side at the end of the road, follow the walking trail down from here and you will emerge on Sai Nuan Beach 2.
To get to Sai Nuan Beach 1, follow the shoreline around the corner, walk through the restaurant beneath the palms and you will arrive in less than 2-minutes.
The BEST Hotel in Koh Tao
Need a place to stay? Sai Daeng Resort is conveniently located in Koh Tao.
Whether you’re here to explore the sights or relax in comfort, Sai Daeng Resort offers the best of both worlds.
I visited around 2 pm one afternoon and I was stoked to have discovered this tropical paradise that is isolated from the more touristy Koh Tao beaches.
I first arrived on beach number 2 and took some photos of the beach and seaside restaurant before following the shoreline around to beach number 1.
Beach number 1 is my favorite pick of the two beaches because of its awesome tropical vibe about it.
A cozy bay is shaded by a coconut palm tree forest with a slackline and a tree swing between the palms! Sounds fun right?!
It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a day out with friends and family to soak up some sun, snorkel around the rocks, and beach bum while listening to the sounds of the waves and coral wind chimes about.
Like I mentioned previously, Sai Nuan Beach is near Sairee Beach, and I recommend visiting both.
