PARADISE BAY BEACH MALTA – OVERVIEW

WHERE IS MALTA PARADISE BAY BEACH?
Paradise Bay Beach is located in the northern part of Malta, near the town of Mellieha and close to the ferry terminal for Gozo Island.
Click here for the exact location on Google Maps.
HOW TO GET TO THE BEACH AT PARADISE BAY?
Getting to Paradise Bay Malta is straightforward. From Valletta or other major towns, you can take bus routes 41 and 42, which stop close to the beach, at Marfa Bus Station and Musa Station.
The journey typically takes about an hour. If you prefer driving and plan to rent a car in Malta, follow the signs to Mellieha and then to Paradise Bay.
There is a free parking area near the beach for convenience.
BEST TIME TO VISIT PARADISE BAY MALTA BEACH?
The best time of day to visit Paradise Bay Beach is early in the morning or late afternoon.
Arriving early is great to avoid the crowds, find a good spot on the sand, and enjoy the beach before other tourists and locals arrive.
Late afternoon is also great, as the temperatures are cooler and you can experience the stunning sunset.
WHAT TO DO AT PARADISE BAY BEACH?
Paradise Bay Malta offers plenty of activities for a fun and relaxing day. You can swim in the clear blue water, which is perfect for cooling off on a hot day.
Snorkeling is also popular here, with plenty of marine life to discover.
For refreshments, head to Paradise Bay Lido, where you can enjoy a snack or a drink while taking in the views. This is a great alternative for enjoying Malta Paradise Bay Beach if all the sunbeds and umbrellas are occupied.
Talking about sunbeds, they are available for rent, so you can comfortably soak up the sun and chill by the beach.
PARADISE BAY MALTA VS GOLDEN BAY BEACH
Paradise Bay and Golden Bay are two of northern Malta’s most popular beaches, each offering unique experiences.
Paradise Bay is located on the northern tip of the islands and is a smaller, more secluded beach with clear turquoise waters, perfect for swimming and snorkeling.
It offers a tranquil atmosphere, especially in the shoulder season. It does get a little crowded in the summer, due to the number of umbrellas for rent.
Golden Bay Beach, on the other hand, is larger and more accessible, with golden sand and plenty of amenities.
It’s great for water sports like jet skiing, kayaking, sunbathing, and enjoying sunsets. Both beaches are stunning, but Paradise Bay is more unique and generally less crowded.

OUR EXPERIENCE AT PARADISE BAY BEACH?
After visiting most tourist attractions in Malta, we decided to take a trip to Paradise Bay Beach.
We set off from Valletta by car, enjoying the scenic drive along the countryside and passing by the Silent City of Mdina.
We arrived at Paradise Bay, parked our car in the parking area nearby, and headed down the stairs to the beach.
The moment we stepped on the sand, we loved how fine it was and how gorgeous the surrounding landscapes were.
The water was perfect for a refreshing swim, and we spent a good part of the morning snorkeling, seeing the fish and marine life, and taking lots of photos.
We then headed to Paradise Bay Lido for a snack and a smoothie. They also served food but we didn’t have any, although other guests recommended the pizza and the fresh catch of the day.
After relaxing in the sun for a couple more hours, we packed up and headed back to Valletta.
AMENITIES AT THE BEACH AT PARADISE BAY
Paradise Bay Malta offers plenty of amenities, so you don’t have to sacrifice convenience when coming. There are toilets, changing facilities, and paid showers available.
As mentioned previously, the beach is home to the Paradise Bay Lido, a restaurant where you can enjoy delicious meals and refreshing drinks while taking in the views.
If you’re looking to relax, you can rent sunbeds and umbrellas for €16 per day, which is higher priced than Golden Bay but provides a cozy spot to unwind nonetheless.
These amenities make Paradise Bay Beach a well-equipped and pleasant spot for a day at the beach, and I highly recommend visiting when in Malta!
