Throwing yourself over the edge of the cliffs at Molave Cliff Diving Resort is one of the most adrenaline-pumping things to do in Bohol.
Panglao Island in the Philippines is far more than just beaches and resorts, but is rather an island offering a mecca of adventures such as caving, island hopping, scuba diving, and cliff jumping.
I have put together this complete guide to cliff jumping in Panglao at the Molave Cliff, including how to get there, how much it costs, and what to expect when you arrive.
WHERE IS MOLAVE CLIFF DIVING RESORT?
Molave Cliff Diving Resort is located on the northern coastline of Panglao Island in Bohol, Philippines.
Click here to see the location on Google maps.
From the main tourist area of Alona Beach in Panglao, it’s a short 15-minute drive to reach Molave Cove.
HOW TO GET TO MOLAVE CLIFF DIVE
The best way to get to reach this cliff jump spot in Panglao is to rent a scooter from one of the many scooter rental stores dotted around Alona Beach.
Scooter rentals are around 300 – 350 pesos per day with a full tank of gas.
Alternatively, you can jump in the back of a tricycle and ask the driver to drop you at the Molave Cliff Diving Resort.
For a 15-minute drive in a tricycle, you can expect to pay around 100 – 150 pesos. Put your bartering skills to the test!

MOLAVE CLIFF DIVING RESORT ENTRANCE FEE
There is an entrance fee of 50 pesos to go cliff diving in Panglao and the opening hours are from 8 am to 6 pm, Monday to Sunday.
If you wish to go snorkeling in Molave Cove, which I highly recommend, you can rent a mask and snorkel from the resort for around 100 pesos.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT MOLAVE CLIFF DIVING RESORT
Once you’ve paid the entry fee you can head straight down to the cliffs, find a spot to perch up, and set down your belongings on the rocks.
There are also half a dozen wooden huts with tables and chairs available for rent.

Molave Cliff Diving Resort features a 5-meter high diving board straight into the clear blue ocean below.
It’s best to run and jump off the diving board as there is a certain landing point that is clear of rocks.
If you are not 100% confident, just ask the lifeguard on duty exactly where to land and watch some other keen jumpers go first.
It’s the safest and most adrenaline-pumping cliff dive in Bohol so you have got nothing to worry about.
To exit the water, it’s a 20 to 30-meter swim in shallow waters to a staircase that leads back to the cliff top.
It’s possible to walk across the reef to reach the stairs though it’s rugged in some areas and there is the odd sea urchin.
Best to bring a pair of slip-on waterproof shoes to avoid getting cut up feet.
My friends and I spent an hour or so at Molave Cove throwing ourselves over the edge of the diving board countless times.

SNORKELING AT MOLAVE COVE
Once you’ve tired yourself out from all the cliff diving, grab a mask and snorkel and check out the underwater world in Molave Cove.
Large balls of sardines circulate off the edge of the reef in Molave Cove, so keep a close eye out for them.
Unfortunately, I didn’t see any sardine balls when I visited, but I was lucky enough to spot a couple of sea turtles so I guess I can’t complain too much!
There is a netted-off snorkeling and swimming area in front of the resort, so you won’t have to worry about any boats running into you.
