It’s best to have your own vehicle to visit Harrington Beach NSW as public transportation options are few and far between.
Also, while you’re here, I recommend going from Harrington to Port Macquarie (or Port Macquarie to Harrington), which is another great spot.

If you want the best of the best conditions weatherwise, I recommend visiting between May and October (Autumn, Winter, and Spring) which is ideal for beach bumming, nature walks, and water sports.
Summer is between December and February which sees hot temperatures and rainfall.

First up on this list of what to do in Harrington NSW is explore the iconic Harrington Beach and sandbar!
It’s quite easy to access Harrington Beach NSW by simply strolling along the break wall which is located in front of the Marine Rescue building on Beach Street.
The sandbar that you’ll find here is EPIC and if you have a drone camera, I highly recommend sending it up to capture some shots of this unique landscape from above.
It takes around 15 minutes to walk to the very tip of the sandbar on Harrington Beach NSW and it’s the perfect spot to lay down a rug, have a picnic, and take a dip in the ocean to cool off.
