Its Gatorade-colored rock pools and jungle surrounds are irresistibly inviting and I highly recommend adding this epic Bohol tourist attraction to your itinerary!

I have put together this complete guide to visiting Dimiao Falls including how to get there, how much it costs, and what to expect when you arrive.

HOW TO GET TO HERE

The best way to get to Pahangog Falls in Bohol is to rent a scooter from one of the many scooter rental stores dotted around the main tourist hub of Panglao.

Scooter rentals are around 300 – 350 pesos per day with a full tank of gas.

Currently, there are no Bohol tours that I know of which include Dimiao Waterfall on the itinerary so you will have to find your own way to this location.

ARRIVING AT DIMIAO FALLS BOHOL

When you arrive at Twin Falls Dimiao you’ll come to a small parking lot and a makeshift shack that serves as a shop selling cold water and snacks.

From here, follow the rocky trail which then leads to a steep set of concrete stairs with handrails to get down to the falls.

It is an easy to moderate hike that takes no more than 10 minutes to reach the bottom.

On the way down, I passed a few local kids as they were running up the trail soaking wet.

One of them stopped to practice his English with me for a moment and I then took a photo of him before he continued sprinting up the stairs. Gotta love those social interactions with the locals in the Philippines!

As we reached the bottom of the stairs, Dimiao Falls revealed itself and I was in complete awe of how freaking stunning this place is.

Before passing over the bamboo bridge, we had to pay the small entrance fee of 20 pesos to the Filipino woman working ticket office.

She didn’t speak much but she was happy to receive our money to come and enjoy the falls.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT DIMIAO TWIN FALLS

Well, the name gives it away – Dimiao Falls is a twin set of falls that are around 25 meters tall, flowing down a limestone rock face and filling a large catch basin below.

The turquoise natural-made swimming pool is deep enough in some areas to do some rock jumping but be sure to do a depth check first.

I always like to make sure the landing is clear of debris and large rocks before doing any cliff jumping so I recommend you do the same.

I visited Dimiao Twin Falls with my friends in the offseason (September) and we had the entire place to ourselves.

Though I have heard this place is a popular spot for the locals and gets very busy on weekends.

Try and time your visit for a weekday if you want to enjoy this location without the crowds.

Sandy islet and caves

One of the best things to do at these falls is to grab a rubber ring and float around the rock pools. You can even swim up underneath the falls for a free head massage.

In between the two sets of falls are a small sandy islet and a cave that you can also explore.

There are plenty of seating areas and hang-out spots around the edges of the falls to perch up for a while and marvel at this incredible Bohol attraction.
