Cambugahay Falls is arguably the best waterfall on Siquijor Island that is most famous for its tiered levels, strikingly blue water, and freshwater cascades, all of which are surrounded by lush rainforest.
I have put together this complete guide to Cambugahay Falls Siquijor including how to get there, how much it costs, countless Cambugahay Falls photos, and what to expect when you arrive at this epic tourist spot.

From the main tourist area of San Juan, it’s approximately a 30-minute drive to reach the falls.
HOW TO GET TO CAMBUGAHAY FALLS?
There are a couple of options when searching for how to get to Cambugahay Falls in Siquijor, and they are by scooter, habal habal, or tricycle.
You can rent a scooter in Siquijor for as little as 250 pesos per day and make your own way over to Cambugahay Waterfalls.
I also highly recommend purchasing travel insurance, especially when riding on the roads in Asia. Safety first!
When you arrive in Siquijor by ferry, you’ll find that there are half a dozen scooter rental stores located at the ferry terminal which is super convenient. You can pick up a set of wheels for the time you plan to spend on Siquijor Island.
If you are not confident driving a scooter, the other option is to hail down a tricycle or habal habal (motorbike taxi) along the main road in Paliton and get a ride to the falls.
The cost depends on how good your bartering skills are, though for a 30-minute drive you can expect to pay around 150-200 pesos.

HOW MUCH IS THE CAMBUGAHAY FALLS ENTRANCE FEE?
The entrance fee is 20 pesos. There is no fees for the parking as you can leave your scooter down the road near the entry.
To use the rope swings and rubber tubes down at the falls, the cost is an additional 50 pesos.
Note: Unfortunately, when I visited these falls the water inside the natural pool was brown, dirty, and not that attractive due to heavy rains the night before.
I apologize in advance for some of the images in this post that don’t show the true beauty of these falls but I give thanks to some friends of mine for providing some images of their own.
ARRIVING AT THE FALLS
When you arrive at the Google maps pin location, you’ll see a small parking lot on the side of the road where you can safely park your scooter.
There is a small tour desk at the entrance to the falls where you’ll first have to pay the entrance fee and sign your name and nationality in a book before heading down the trailhead to this epic Siquijor waterfall.
From here, it takes no more than a two-minute walk down a set of concrete stairs to reach the lowest level of Cambugahay Waterfalls.

Now that you have a better understanding of the site, let’s go through a more in-depth Cambugahay Falls description.
The first level of the falls features a large natural swimming hole and some man-made structures including rope swings, bamboo rafts, and a wide set of falls. It’s an adventurer’s playground!
Prior to visiting Siquijor, I had seen pictures of these falls on Instagram boasting turquoise blue waters and I have to say, I was a little disappointed when I didn’t get to experience its true beauty. But hey, that’s just mother nature.
On a nice day, it’s a great spot to hang out and go swimming under the falls to cool off. You can even rent a rubber ring for 50 pesos and go for a float around the natural pools.

THINGS TO DO AT CAMBUGAHAY WATERFALL
Don’t end the adventure at the bottom pool as there are a few more levels of the falls to explore.
Follow the jungle trail upstream where you will find more freshwater swimming holes, flowing rock pools, and several cliff jumping spots.
You could easily spend a few hours at this section of the falls, jumping from pool to pool, and swinging from the tree swings.
Dozens of sheltered huts are available to rent around the perimeter of the cascades if you wish to set your belongings down away from the water’s edge. There are also some make-shift change rooms for visitors to use if need be.
If you have a drone, I highly recommend sending it up to capture the tiered cascades from above, one of the best Cambugahay Falls activities!
