Blue Lagoon Nusa Ceningan boasts some of the bluest water in all of Indonesia.
Featuring a large cove with cliff-jumping spots and panoramic viewpoints, this is one location not to be missed during your visit to the Nusa Islands.
I have put together this complete guide to Blue Lagoon Nusa Ceningan including how to get there, the best time to visit, countless Blue Lagoon Nusa Ceningan photos, and what to expect when you arrive.
BLUE LAGOON NUSA CENINGAN – OVERVIEW
Let’s start this guide with some essentials you should know about the Blue Lagoon in Nusa Ceningan, from its location to getting there and more.
WHERE IS BLUE LAGOON NUSA CENINGAN?
Blue Lagoon on Nusa Ceningan Island is located between Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida.
If you’re staying on Nusa Lembongan Island, you can access Ceningan Island via the yellow bridge that connects the two islands.
It’s no more than a 15-minute drive from the main tourist hub on Nusa Lembongan to reach Ceningan Blue Lagoon.

HOW TO GET TO BLUE LAGOON CENINGAN?
From Bali, you can book a fast boat transfer to Nusa Lembongan which includes hotel pick-up and drop-off service, and once you’re on Nusa Lembongan island, it’s easy to make your way over to Nusa Ceningan.
If you’re already on the Nusa Islands, the best and easiest way to reach Blue Lagoon is by scooter.
You can rent a scooter for around 50,000 IDR per day which will give you the freedom to explore all of the awesome tourist spots on Ceningan Island at your own pace.
It’s very easy to find a rental scooter for the time you plan to spend in Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan.
Quite commonly when you arrive by boat on the island, you will be approached by the locals at the port asking if you need to rent one.
Otherwise, most accommodations on Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan offer scooter rentals for guests.
I also highly recommend purchasing travel insurance, especially when riding on the roads in Asia. Safety first!

WHAT TO EXPECT AT BLUE LAGOON NUSA CENINGAN
The jump-off point is easy to find as you can see it from the roadside as soon as you arrive at this pin location on google maps.
You are free to roam around the outside edges of the cliffs which is the perfect opportunity to get some photos of Nusa Ceningan Blue Lagoon.
The water inside the lagoon is a milky blue Gatorade color that looks good enough to drink and will make your photos pop without any editing!
If you’re facing towards the ocean, there is a dirt track to the right-hand side which leads through some bushes and down onto a viewpoint on the lower section of the cliffs.
From here you can grab another awesome perspective of the lagoon.
CLIFF JUMPING AT BLUE LAGOON CENINGAN
Blue Lagoon Nusa Ceningan is a cliff-jumping haven for those adventurous, thrill-seekers out there.
Follow the cliff edge around to the rocky point on the eastern side.
There are remains of what used to be a bar from where people would hang out for the day in between swimming and cliff jumping.
There is a range of cliff jumping heights starting at 4 meters and reaching heights of up to 13 meters.
We had all intentions of jumping from the cliffs this day although the waves were too big and there was a lot of water moving around.
Make sure to assess the conditions before jumping because the only way out of the lagoon is to climb up a small cliff face and back to dry land.
It’s possible to jump on either the low tide or high tide as the water is deep enough for a smooth landing. I would advise making sure you have a buddy with you in case things get hairy.
